Lithium Ion Battery : The Lithium Ion battery (and its variants) considered to be one of the most emerging technologies in the storage industry have a clear potential of covering almost all the applications which utilizes lead acid battery. Lithium Batteries have some distinct advantages over Lead Acid Batteries- such as Light weight (3~5 times lighter) and easily portable, Shorter charging times (around 60% less) and high energy delivery rates, Higher cycle life (4~5 times more), Better performance in extreme climates.

Lead–acid Batteries : Lead–acid batteries have the oldest and most widely used rechargeable electrochemical devices. They are available in different types like- Pasted Flat Plates, Tubular Plates, VRLA to suit variety of applications. It’s a low cost option in the energy storage industry.

SMF Batteries : SMF (Sealed Maintenance Free) batteries also known as the Value Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries are the flat plate batteries that do not require topping-up and normally do not emit any fumes or gases on a continuous basis. These are used for high end applications of standby power like UPS, Telecom, Railway Communications, Security Systems etc.
